The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council will be holding its next elections on Aug. 21, 2021. Polls will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at 3 locations, Forest Hills Station (Washington Street and Hyde Park Avenue), JP Licks (659 Centre Street), Stop and Shop (301 Centre Street). For our meetings, the JPNC continues to conduct virtual meetings, which are open to the public and accessible either from a computer or telephone.  We want to ensure that our neighbors have an opportunity to respond to all upcoming issues and will accept comments by email up until the JPNC Meeting on Aug. 24, 2021.  Our email address is info.jpnc@gmail.com

Public Service Committee:  Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021 at 7:00 pm.  On the agenda will be a request by FS Bar & Lounge LLC, doing business as “Simpli Bar & Bites”, at 3840 Washington Street for a 7-day common victualler wines and malt beverages license, with take-out, and an entertainment license for 2 TVs, with the hours of 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, with Florian Struga as manager, and and with a seasonal outdoor patio with 20 seats.  Also on the agenda will be extended discussion of the Good Community Business policy.
