Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings

Public Service Committee: Tuesday, July 2 at 7:00 pm at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street. On the agenda will be: 1). The petition of Eugene O’Neill’s at 3700 Washington Street for a 7-day Common Victualler All-Alcohol Beverage License with a 1:00 am closing hour, with Melissa Hunt as manager, and an Entertainment License for four TVs, trivia, karaoke, and up to three live performers; 2). The petition of J-Pizle Kitchen at 536 Centre Street for a 7-day Common Victualler Beer & Wine License with an 11:00 pm closing hour, with Cindy Villada as manager, and an Entertainment License for three TVs and up to three live performers.

Zoning Committee:  Wednesday, July 10 at 7:00 pm at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. The agenda will be: 41 Pershing Road, a request to renovate attic space and convert to additional living space; construct roof dormer and new stairs to attic; new space to include master bedroom, closet, and bathroom.  Also on the agenda will a vote to fill the vacancy. 

Education Ad Hoc Committee: Tuesday, July 16 at 7:00 pm at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street. The agenda will be:  TBA

Housing & Development Committee: Tuesday, July 16 at 7:00 pm at Bowditch School building, 82 Green Street (enter at sidewalk level to left of Main stairs). On the agenda will be a continued discussion of the City’s Inclusionary Development Policy (IDP) and current efforts to update the IDP; the purpose of the IDP is to create and preserve affordable housing.

Parks + Ad Hoc Committee:  Wednesday, July 19 at 6:00 pm at JP Licks. The agenda will be:   A discussion on a JP Park Audit.

Zoning Committee:  Wednesday, July 24 at 7:00 pm at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. The agenda will be:  1). The petition of 4 Hagar Street to extend Unit 3 living space into deeded attic space via new rear stair; light/vent through existing windows into two floors; modify sprinkler system to include new attic space; 2). The petition of 15 Bancroft Street to change occupancy from three-family to four-family dwelling; add fourth story and rear addition to building with new decks and egress stairs; add two parking spaces in basement; building to be fully sprinklered.

Executive Committee:  Thursday, July 18 at 7:00 pm at JP Licks. The agenda will be:  TBA

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council:  Tuesday, July 23 at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street.  On the agenda will be updates and recommendations of committees.
