July 2018 Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings


Public Service Committee; Tuesday, July 10 at 7:00pm at the John F. Kennedy School, 7 Bolster Street (off Wyman Street). On the agenda will be:  1). A petition of Blue Nile Restaurant at 389 Centre Street for a change in hours of their 7-day Common Victualler Beer & Wine License to a midnight closing hour.  2). A petition of Ethiopian Café at 377 Centre Street for a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) License, with Firehiwot Zeleke as manager.  3). A petition of Santia’s Bakery at 3381 Washington Street for a 7-day Common Victualler License with take-out, with Sergio Espinoza as manager. Also on the 4). A petition of Centre Street Café at 669 Centre Street for a change in ownership and business name of their 7-day Common Victualler Beer & Wine with Liqueurs License, to “Little Dipper”, with David Doyle as manager.  5). A petition of Casa Verde at 711 Centre Street for a change in ownership of their 7-day Common Victualler All Alcohol License.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, July 11th at 7:00 pm at Farnsworth House.  The agenda for that meeting will include: 1). 628-630A Centre Street: – REMOVED FROM AGENDA  2). 300-300C Centre Street:  Remove the proviso “take-out use granted to this petitioner only” Haralambos Kosmidis & Young Kong Restaurant, to reflect change of ownership from Lidan Pan to Golden Rice Bowl, Inc.  No work to be done;  3). 93 Westchester Road:  Construct a two-story kitchen addition to rear of existing single-family home; expand living space into basement;  4). 21-23 Wyman Street: A request for reconsideration by the applicant to change occupancy from two-family to three-family dwelling; renovate existing unfinished basement to create one additional dwelling unit; construct new exterior entry to basement unit at front of house and add window wells for bedroom windows; building to be fully sprinklered.

Housing & Development Committee: Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Bowditch School building, 82 Green Street (enter at sidewalk level to left of Main stairs). Agenda: A presentation from Nesterly on its service for intergenerational homesharing. Review of open issues before the Committee

Environment, Parks & Energy Committee: Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 6:00 pm, at JP Licks. Agenda: Planning for upcoming Fix-it Clinic July 21, 2018.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, July 25th at Farnsworth House.  The agenda for the meeting will include:  1). 125 and 125A Amory Streetsubdivide 262,250 square foot parcel into Lot 1A (52,856 square feet) and Lot 100 (209,394 square feet), with existing six-story multifamily residence and two-story office/elder care building on lot; other buildings on site to be razed; 101 Amory Street – Building A – erect a six-story multi-family dwelling with 147 rental apartments and 57 below-grade parking spaces; and 127 Amory Street – Building B (erect a six-story multi-family dwelling with 140 rental apartments and 58 below-grade parking spaces;  2). 368 Centre Street – change occupancy from jewelry boutique to take-out restaurant use; 3).  22-24 Adelaide Street – change occupancy from a two-family to a three-family dwelling to create a caretaker’s apartment by creating accessible rear-entry and attached garage and renovating first-floor unit for accessibility; replace back porches and egress stairs.
