June 2018 Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings (Rev. 1)


Public Service Committee: Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 7:00 pm at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street. Agenda includes: (1) petition of JFR Fernandez, Inc., doing business as “Happy Market and Spirits” at 128 South Street for a Seven-Day Common Victualler License, with take-out,  hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, with Francisco Fernandez, Jr. as manager; and, (2) Discussion about more bicycle racks and other bicycle issues.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street.  Agenda includes: (1) 71, 73-73A, 75-75A, and 77-79 Call Street (new construction of four attached three-story, two-family dwellings; eight residential units in all.  Parking for 71 Call Street at 73-73A Call Street.  Create six (6) off-street parking spaces); (2) 31-33 Woodlawn Street (modify existing building to create 3-family residence with exterior decks.  Construct second 3-family residence.  Total of 6 residential units with 6 parking spaces on site); (3) 196 Boylston Street (construct new three-family residence on vacant parcel of land); and, (4) 21-23 Wyman Street (change occupancy from two-family to three-family dwelling; renovate existing unfinished basement to create one additional dwelling unit; construct new exterior entry to basement unit at front of house and add window wells for bedroom windows; building to be fully sprinklered). Housing & Development Committee: Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Bowditch School building, 82 Green Street (enter at sidewalk level to left of Main stairs). Agenda includes: (1) Updates; (2) Committee membership and officers; (3)_ Summary of open issues before the committee; and, (4) Monitoring of current development projects.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. Agenda includes: (1) 260-260A Amory Street (renovate single-family house and add second-story addition in rear); (2) 266-266A Amory Street (construct a new five-unit residential building per plans); and, (3) 16 Marmion Street (demolish existing single-family house and replace with five-unit residential building with underground parking). Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council
