October 2017 Neighborhood Council & Committee Meetings (Rev. 2)


Public Service Committee: Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 7:00 pm, at Curtis Hall, 20 South Street. The agenda includes: (1) Petition of Evergreen Eatery and Café at 154 Green Street for a Seven-Day Common Victualler Wines and Malt with Liqueurs License,  with take-out, with the hours of 6:30 am to 10:30 pm, and with a seasonal outdoor patio for 46 seats, with Phil Paik as manager; (2) Petition of Juicygreens at 61 South Street for a Seven-Day Common Victualler License with the hours of 7:30am to 7:30pm, and with a seasonal outdoor patio  for 4 to 6 seats, with Ammy Lowney as manager; (3) Petition of Exodus Bagels at 3346 Washington Street for a Seven-Day Common Victualler License, with take-out, with the hours of 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, with Adam Hirsh as manager; and, (4) Presentation by the Livable Streets Alliance on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) pilot project on Washington Street from Forest Hills.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. The agenda includes:  (1) 17-19 Walk Hill Street (change occupancy from two-family to three family residence, renovate and add 2 dormers; install sprinkler system): and, (2) 81 Woodlawn Road (erect three-family residence with a 2-car garage on vacant lot. Housing & Development Committee:  Tuesday,  October 17, 2017, at 7:00, at the Bowditch School building 0n Green Street (enter at sidewalk level to left of main stairs). Agenda: TBA.

Zoning Committee: Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street. Agenda includes: (1) 19R Cheshire Street (construct a new two-car garage, per plans); and, (2) 28 Cedarwood Road (extend living space into attic, add dormers on east side, add skylights on west side roof; replace pull-down second floor ceiling entry with stairs from second to third floor..To review materials submitted to the committee for these projects, click materials submitted

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council

Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 7:00 pm, at Farnsworth House, 90 South Street.  Agenda includes presentation by Abigail Norman, Director of Jamaica Plain’s Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts, at 24 Eliot Street, on the school’s plans for an architectural feasibility study.
